Boundaries are a means to let others know who we are, what we like, and what is important to us. Boundaries are intended to bring understanding and clarity for ourselves and those we are in relationship with. When we use boundaries positively, it lets others know exactly where we begin and end so they don't wonder.
We all have boundaries set, we just are not always aware that we do until we snap. So the best way to navigate the holidays is to become aware before its too late and take some preventative steps to avoid that tension altogether.
